Liam's StoryHE STARTED TRAINING TO BUILD MUSCLE, HE ENDED UP CHANGING HIS LIFE.
Sometimes, the biggest transformation isn't what you see in the mirror, it's how you begin to see yourself.
When Liam first started his fitness journey, he described himself as skinny, physically weak and having absolutely no confidence.
He didn't believe in himself, and that lack of confidence was holding him back in more ways than one.
Eventually, he reached a turning point.
In his own words:
"I realised I was a nobody with nothing and the only person who could change that was myself!"
Liam began training with the goal of gaining weight, building muscle and becoming physically stronger but as his strength developed, something else began to change, his confidence.
The young man who once doubted himself began developing what he now describes as a little more "confidence and cheek."
He was becoming physically bigger and stronger, but more importantly, he was beginning to back himself and that growing confidence started showing up outside the gym.
Liam met his girlfriend, Liv. Together, they've started building a life, with Liam relocating to a new city, beginning a new job and moving in with her.
He's also noticed that his increased physical strength makes everyday tasks at work easier and then there's the tattoo sleeve, something Liam had wanted for years but always put off because he felt he was too skinny.
He's finally started it.
It might seem like a small detail but it's another example of Liam feeling comfortable enough in himself to do something he'd always wanted.
When asked what he's most proud of, Liam didn't immediately mention his muscle gains, he mentioned starting his new life with Liv.
Building strength can be about so much more than changing your body.
For Liam, gaining muscle was part of a much bigger journey towards feeling confident, capable and comfortable in himself. Training didn't make his life decisions for him, Liam made those decisions himself but the confidence he developed along the way became part of the person who was ready to take those chances.
And his advice to anyone thinking about starting?
"Don't doubt or second guess yourself, training will change your life!"
