Geraldine's StoryLEARNING TO PUT HERSELF FIRST, WITHOUT THE GUILT.
For Geraldine, getting back into exercise after having a baby wasn't simply about losing weight. It was about feeling comfortable in her own body again.
Following her pregnancy and C-section, Geraldine wanted to regain her strength, flexibility and confidence in how she moved but she was nervous about exercising again and unsure where to begin safely.
As a mum to a one year old and a busy business owner, she was also juggling the demands of family life, work and everyone else's needs, she knew she needed more than a workout plan, she needed reassurance, encouragement and people who understood her.
When Geraldine met the team, it wasn't just their knowledge that impressed her, it was their approach.
Rather than pushing her through exhausting workouts, they introduced thoughtful, progressive training focused on strength, flexibility, coordination and building confidence in movement.
For Geraldine, that made all the difference, she felt supported, not pressured and that same approach extended to nutrition.
Instead of feeling guilty when life got busy or things didn't go perfectly, she was encouraged to keep going, learn and make progress at her own pace.
Since starting coaching, Geraldine has noticed a real difference in her energy, she's finding everyday life with her young child easier and no longer experiences the same overwhelming tiredness.
But she's also noticed something unexpected.
As she's become physically stronger, she's started feeling mentally stronger too.
The confidence she develops through training is helping her navigate the responsibilities, pressures and decisions that come with running a business.
And although she's previously celebrated losing 10kg, Geraldine is the first to admit that her journey is still ongoing.
She still has goals she wants to achieve and fears she's learning to work through.
When asked what she's most proud of, Geraldine didn't choose a number on the scales, she chose something that might seem small to somebody else.
She's gone from training once a week to twice a week and she's sticking to it.
For a mum and business owner with so many responsibilities, consistently making that time for herself is a huge achievement, she's learning that looking after her own health doesn't have to come with guilt.
Geraldine's journey isn't finished, and she doesn't pretend it is but she's already discovering that progress isn't always about reaching the final goal.
Sometimes it's about having more energy for your family, feeling stronger in yourself and proving that your own wellbeing deserves a place in your busy life.
And when asked what she'd say to someone thinking about starting, Geraldine wanted the focus to be on the people who've supported her.
"Sometimes, the most important thing isn't simply finding someone who can help you change your body. It's finding people who make you feel understood, supported and accepted as you are, while helping you become the person you want to be."
For Geraldine, that's what makes Luke Jones Health and Fitness so special.
